Nuno Viegas

Nuno Viegas (Metisone) @nunoviegas.pt is a Portuguese artist born in Faro in 1985 and raised in Quarteira, where he currently lives. Founder of the Policromia Crew, he began his career in graffiti in 1999. After studying Visual Arts at the University of the Algarve, he moved to Rotterdam in 2014 for a period of five years, where he developed a pictorial language strongly influenced by graffiti. His work explores the contrast between the raw nature of traditional graffiti and a clean, poetic representation, paying homage to the writers who keep the movement authentic. He has collaborated with various international institutions and galleries, establishing himself on the contemporary urban art scene.
