Acta Liquida | Heidi Zednik

Heidi Zednik is a visual artist who has long divided her life between the USA and Austria. She is often involved in collaborative artistic projects, cultural community projects and art associations.

Throughout her work, nature remains a constant focus. In 2012 she relocated permanently to the Salzkammergut area of Austria and began artistically documenting the environmental changes of Lake Traunsee, a project which remains open ended.

When asked about being an artist, her reply has remained constant over the past decades.

I paint-draw-make to show what I am unable to verbalize.

I write, to listen closer to what I see.

Most days I still believe art can be a catalyst – for change, for beauty, for being still.

So I keep creating, to remember to slow down.

She lives and works on Lake Traunsee, Austria.
