Edgar Pacheco (b. 1996, Olhão) is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans original tattoo art, painting and muralism. Having grown up in the Algarve, his artistic language stems from an intimate connection with the region — the sea, the southern landscapes, traditional crafts and the stories of the people who live there. His work evolves from this intersection of memory, identity and contemporary expression.

In tattooing, Edgar has developed his own distinctive style, characterised by free, organic and intuitive lines. His compositions often emerge as spontaneous drawings, almost as if they were sketches captured in the moment of the gesture, where imperfection becomes language and the freedom of the line creates unique visual narratives.

In painting and mural art, this same energy transforms into denser, more emotive atmospheres. He frequently works with contemporary figurative art — faces, bodies and gestures — but also symbols and fragments of everyday life that evoke the culture of the south: the sea, manual labour, folk traditions and the simple life of local communities.

His work seeks to rescue what often goes unnoticed: small stories, common gestures, anonymous faces that carry a collective memory. By bringing them into his paintings, onto the wall or onto the skin, Edgar transforms the everyday into a visual narrative, revealing the raw, human beauty of the region from which he comes.

As a resident artist at Estúdio Onze, he has been developing an increasingly expansive practice that combines artistic creation, collaborative projects and interventions in public spaces. His work thus establishes itself as a constant dialogue between art, place and community — where each piece becomes a meeting point between memory, identity and contemporary creation.
